This is one of the better iPad desktop solutions we’ve seen. The UpStand™ will float your iPad at just the right height - it’s perfect for working with a Bluetooth keyboard, watching movies or using the iPad as a digital picture frame. Add the right app, UpStand™ will even turn your iPad into a recipe book, alarm clock or TV.

Electric has the right idea with the 3.0 release of their iPhone app. They were one of the first action sports brands to jump ahead and put out an app. They’ve added some nice updates including the Rock the Volt feature that allows users to virtually try on sunglasses. [iTunes Link]

Eboy does it right with the FixPix app. This is a great example of how an artist or designer might approach the app world. It couldn’t be easier. Tilt your iPhone to explore eBoys art and find the right angle to solve the puzzle. There are 100 hand-crafted levels in this game with slow increasing difficulty.

There are plenty of iPad case options out there. Our favorite probably being the standard Apple case. We’ve recently seen some other cool alternatives show up to suit your creative case needs. The Austria based Hard Graft is making some really nice stuff including the one shown here. Find more and order from their online store. http://shop.hardgraft.com/

This week is the first Boulder Startup Week! Over 3000 people are expected to attend one of the over 55 events taking place over 5 spring days.
The startups in town are rolling out the red carpet (not really, I don’t think there is one in town) but figuratively, for you, talented developer, designer, UI, manager or startup enthusiast, to come for a visit. There are a ton of jobs for developers, marketers, designers and managers (and we need more talent in town!). We also want to make a great week for the talented folks here to get to know each other.
Get your ticket (and be on the mailing list) here. You can RSVP for any of the events on the plancast... Read More...

Going with the one of the stock wallpaper options on your phone, computer or iPad doesn’t say too much these days. That photo you took doesn’t look that good either. The iPhone OS4 lets you put a wallpaper behind the icons now too which is really hard to make look good. We are all in need of good places to find cool wallpaper! Poolga is one place to start. With a large list of contributing artists you should be able to find something good. They have most available in iPhone/iPod and now iPad as well.

This is an extension of a previous post we put up for sketching app ideas. The App Sketchbooks come in iPhone/iPod touch templates as well as iPad sized. The stencil UI kits would work nicely with these.

They had this to say on their blog.“Imagine being able to follow a New York Times journalist directly from her byline, tweet about a video without leaving YouTube, and discover new Twitter accounts while visiting the Yahoo! home page—and that’s just the beginning.”
