We’re excited to see Boulder based startup Orbotix get some nice press last week on their first product, Sphero. This isn’t your average ball.  The iPhone/Android controlled ball is just the beginning.  The potential for the Orbotix platform and smartphone controlled devices is huge.  

Rage Digital is excited to have the opportunity to work with Orbotix on the user interface for Sphero!  They have a great team and we’re confident there CES demo will be a smash hit! I think there may be a Wired vs Gizmodo challenge arranged as well.

We’re very excited to announce the release of the Hyundai Equus app for iPad! With the purchase of a 2011 Equus you receive an iPad in the glove box complete with the users manual and tons of other app features.  Rage Digital collaborated with Aspect DigitalArmstrong White and Innocean Worldwide to develop the project. But Hyundai thinks it has the answer. It gave USA TODAY an exclusive sneak peek Tuesday — the eve of the press preview for the Los Angeles Auto Show — at what it thinks is the future. It is putting an interactive digital owners manual on an Apple iPad and loading it into every glove compartment of the new Equus luxury car.

Want to see how “adaptive headlights” work — shifting to point in the direction you’re turning — in the $58,900 Equus? Touch the iPad screen and you can redirect with a fingertip on the screen the headlight beams on an overhead view of the car.
